Solo dance
Manu Konstantinidis
Manu Konstantinidis
will take us on a journey with a dance improvisation. Her work is about restoration, reconstruction, recomposition, recycling. These are all concepts that live within us and carry us through these times of heightened awareness.
"To stop in order to rediscover a world on a human scale, a world of respect for what surrounds us and what our ancestors created. We stopped at an old train station near Mycenae, which we revived as an invitation to travel and bond. The station is a symbol of separation, an unknown destination, sadness and nostalgia. To me it represents all these contradictory feelings at once. It is also a childhood memory, from the years I lived with my family behind a station. Years of watching my train buff father build his electric train circuits. My solo is about all of that: departure, travel, separation and love."
