We are a multicultural team brought together by a shared love for the historic site of Mycenae and the distinctive landscape of Argolis. In 2021, we created FichtiArt Festival in the village of Fichti, a multidisciplinary festival born from the desire to connect contemporary artistic creation with the history, architectural heritage, and natural environment of the area.
Each year, the festival brings together a wide range of artistic practices — theatre, dance, music, visual installations, architecture, and literature — creating an open space for dialogue between internationally acclaimed artists and local creators.
FichtiArt’s events take place in emblematic yet often overlooked spaces, such as old railway stations and abandoned buildings, bringing them back into public view and highlighting their cultural and historical significance.
Through collaborations with universities, international festivals, and cultural organizations, FichtiArt seeks to foster dialogue around issues such as the protection of architectural heritage, sustainable development, and social inclusion. At the same time, it encourages the active participation of the local community, turning art into a shared space for encounter, exchange, and creation.
In this way, FichtiArt contributes to the cultural revitalization of the region, bridging past and present while revealing the area’s cultural capital through contemporary artistic practices.
